This week: RPG banks, digital meets analog Tereshibai children's toy, and Rilakkuma-themed rooms at the Royal Park Hotel.

I was only working about 50% while in London so Michael mostly took over the blog. But here are a few highlights from the last few weeks:
The McBakery Men McDonalds Campaign
the Gegege laptop designed by Devil Robots and other assorted tie-in products for the upcoming movie
Beams branching out into kids wear. How cute are they?
Tsundere arcade games that alternately kiss up to you and kick your ass
the Tamachi station Eki Tama
and Uchi Gochi wine designed for pairing with Japanese home cooking.
Happy consumerism!

Both my latest article on Tokyo Art Beat, Branding the Mid-Century, and for Fashion Snoops, Style Wars: London vs. Tokyo, have been up for awhile.
A review from the latest exhibit at the Toppan Printing Museum, which I am growing rather fond of.
Lamenting that thanks to those damn trend scouts, all the trendy high street clothes now look the same everywhere.
Except for how you where it: Koda Kumi vs. Peaches Geldof!

I got in trouble for covering too much fashion and girly stuff on the CScout blog, so I haven't had as many posts up recently that I have been excited about.
One article that did manage to satisfy both my tech-y boss and my romantic self is this long-distance romance RPG now available on Softbank mobile phones. Just one more reason to consider getting an upgrade to a more sophisticated phone! Or the iPhone, I can't decide.
I did also manage to sneak in one about a new line of maxi pads designed by a celebrity comedian, how hilarious is that?
And about this website I found that has recipes for traditional Japanese food using instant coffee. When I get around to making either the instant coffee tonkatsu or rice balls, I'll translate and post the recipe!

Some thoughts on how and why Alexander Herchcovitch is so hot in Tokyo now, on the Fashion Snoops blog.

On the Fashion Snoops blog.
Actually, if you see this pictures, it looks pretty cool.
But what if those same mannequins have been there for seasons (maybe years)? Can a fashion scene be cool for, like, a decade?
